Job summary

Pathward is seeking a Balance Sheet Strategy Analyst to design and maintain financial models, data workflows, dashboards, and reporting supporting loan sale and balance sheet optimization strategies. You will evaluate loans, participations, and off-balance-sheet alternatives, using Excel, Power BI, SQL, and data-integration tools to turn loan-level data into scalable decision tools.

The role emphasizes analytics and solution development, not process management, with responsibilities spanning

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, business or data analytics or a related field.
Two to five years of experience in banking, commercial lending, treasury, capital markets, or FP&A.
Strong financial modeling, valuation, cash-flow analysis, forecasting, and scenario analysis; advanced Excel required.
Experience building Power BI data models and dashboards with large loan-level datasets; SQL knowledge preferred.

Responsibilities

Own and enhance models, dashboards, and data workflows supporting loan portfolio strategy and compare hold, sell, participation, and syndication alternatives.
Analyze pricing, sale proceeds, gain/loss on sale, retained economics, and capital impacts.
Develop ROA and balance sheet optimization models incorporating asset yield, funding costs, and liquidity.
Identify loans/portfolios for potential sale based on economics and strategic fit.
Build Power BI data models and dashboards; use SQL/Matillion to automate recurring analysis.
