Job summary

Komatsu Mining Corp. seeks a Maintenance & Reliability Engineer to develop maintenance strategies for Electric Wheel Loaders, Electric Rope Shovels, and Drills. You will analyze field-performance data to improve reliability and lifecycle cost models, and drive standardized practices across regions.

The role requires 5+ years in heavy-equipment engineering, experience with RCM/FMEA, and proficiency in SAP PM, APM/Meridium, Salesforce, Excel, and Power BI.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Mining, Reliability Engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years in maintenance, reliability, or heavy-equipment engineering.
• Working knowledge of maintenance strategies, FMEA and RCM.

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain maintenance object structures, locations, RPLs, and maintenance plans across product lines.
• Lead or facilitate RCM, FMEA, and maintenance task analyses for new and existing products.
• Analyze failure modes and reliability risks to establish preventive, predictive, inspection-based, and run-to-failure strategies.
• Build and maintain asset history and reliability records in Asset Performance Management platforms.
• Perform reliability analyses including Weibull, MTBF, MTTR, availability, and component life analysis.
• Develop and validate maintenance intervals, overhaul strategies, labor-hour estimates, and parts recommendations.
• Maintain and improve LCM KPI dashboards and datasets through data quality and coverage improvements.
• Collaborate with distributors, product support, engineering, and analytics teams to collect and analyze data.
• Support LCC and LCM models, customer proposals, and new product development initiatives.
• Document processes and promote standardization of reliability practices across regions.
