Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Manager of Accounting/Reimbursement to lead and optimize the reimbursement function. The role oversees financial reporting, audits, and compliance, ensuring accurate cost reports and budget alignment.

Hybrid work arrangement in New Jersey, with collaboration across departments. Qualified candidates have 5–7 years in reimbursement accounting, supervisory experience, and strong GAAP knowledge, plus proficiency in Excel, Word, and accounting systems.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of reimbursement (accounting/finance) experience.
• 1–3 years supervisory experience preferred.
• Knowledge of Medicare Cost Report and NJ Acute Care Reporting.
• Strong organizational, analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Excellent communication abilities.
• Working knowledge of Windows, Word and Excel; Oracle and EPIC a plus.

Responsibilities

• Reviews monthly, quarterly and annual surveys, audits, cost reports and related statements.
• Provides leadership and day-to-day direction for the reimbursement department.
• Organizes accounting personnel to collect, summarize and interpret financial data.
• Manages filings to Regulatory Agencies, including IRS 990 and NJ Charitable Registration, Medicare and Medicaid cost reports.
• Coordinates annual budget process and interacts with internal/external auditors.
• Implements new financial controls and supports reimbursement operations.
