Job summary

UC San Diego Health is seeking a Rehab Support Coordinator to provide administrative and clinical assistance across Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Speech Therapy programs in a hybrid setting.

You will manage scheduling, registration, insurance verification, referrals, and patient communications while supporting rehabilitation staff to ensure a smooth, patient-centered clinic flow.

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of related experience in call center/front desk/patient access or high-volume customer service.
• Ability to multitask across multiple systems and adapt to high-volume environments.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Skills and abilities to perform both administrative and clinical support duties.

Responsibilities

• Front end liaison for patient arrival with contactless check-in and visit readiness.
• Respond to patient inquiries and process appointment requests with high service quality.
• Complete registration, insurance eligibility, authorizations, referrals, and financial documentation per UCSD Health standards.
• Input and update patient information using EPIC Cadence and related modules.
• Support PT/OT/SLP staff with selected patient care activities under supervision.
