Job summary

Evergy is seeking a Regulatory Analyst to support the state's regulatory strategy by developing revenue requirement models, preparing testimony and exhibits, and analyzing financial and regulatory information used in rate cases and other filings.

The role requires knowledge of electric utility ratemaking, cost-of-service principles, and regulatory rules. Hybrid flexible schedule is available, with collaboration across Accounting, Finance, Legal, and other teams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration, Engineering, Public Policy, or related field (preferred).
• Experience in utility regulation, ratemaking, revenue requirements, or regulatory accounting is preferred.
• Knowledge of electric utility systems and regulatory filing processes is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and support revenue requirement models, regulatory schedules, and exhibits for state filings.
• Draft, review, and support testimony and exhibits for rate cases and regulatory filings.
• Coordinate responses to discovery, data requests, and compliance requirements in a timely, accurate manner.
• Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to develop filing positions and ensure consistency across testimony and schedules.
• Monitor regulatory developments and keep deadlines and commitments.
