Job summary

King County Water and Land Resources Division -WA is seeking a Recycled Water Project Manager to lead planning, execution, and coordination of the recycled water program across treatment plants and distribution systems.

You will serve as a subject matter expert in recycled water, guiding multi‑jurisdictional efforts from planning through execution, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and contractual requirements.

Qualifications

• Strong project management experience and ability to coordinate multi‑jurisdictional recycled water projects.
• Knowledge of water quality standards, treatment processes, and regulatory requirements for recycled water.
• Experience communicating technical concepts to diverse audiences and regulators.

Responsibilities

• Plan, schedule, and deliver recycled water projects, especially at South Treatment Plant.
• Coordinate with program managers to align delivery with resource recovery goals.
• Engage stakeholders, prepare customer agreements, and provide training and onboarding as needed.
• Develop long‑range plans for recycled water production and distribution and ensure permits requirements are met.
• Provide regulatory guidance and prepare reports in support of permits and studies.
• Lead teams through complex issues, ensuring deliverables meet quality and schedule targets.
