Job summary

KeyBank is seeking an Underwriter in Overland Park, KS, to underwrite commercial real estate loan requests, analyze legal documents, financial statements, rent rolls, and collateral, and ensure compliance with loan agreements. The role handles about 50 transactions annually, interfacing with borrowers, attorneys, and investors.

The position offers a base salary with incentive potential and a hybrid in-office/remote work arrangement.

Qualifications

• BS in Business/Finance.
• 3-4 years commercial mortgage loan servicing and/or underwriting experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical skills.
• Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• The Underwriter will communicate with borrowers, attorneys, third parties and real estate investors to gather and analyze information required to underwrite approximately 50 transactions annually.
• Marginal functions include, assist the Transactions Managers with hiring, training, mentoring, process improvement and with special projects as needed.
