Prudential Financial, Inc. in San Francisco is seeking an Investment Associate on the Originations team to support multifamily and commercial real estate debt investments across multiple capital sources.

You’ll help guide transactions from origination through closing in a fast-paced, collaborative environment. The role emphasizes leadership in daily operations, training analysts, and leveraging internal and external relationships to move deals efficiently.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience in commercial real estate lending.
• Credit mindset with ability to review, structure and underwrite loans to mitigate risk.
• Strong quantitative and analytical skills; excellent organization and detail orientation.
• Outstanding written and verbal communication; ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Assist Loan Officers in origination and closing, including analysis, underwriting, debt structuring, pricing, and due diligence.
• Prepare presentations for senior management for pricing and loan authorization; support closing.
• Involvement in screening, underwriting, modeling, term sheet work, and Investment Committee materials.
• Coordinate and manage legal aspects of originations and closings; build market knowledge for the region.
• Train and oversee analysts and associates; maintain relationships with borrowers and intermediaries.
