Job summary

New + Found in Missouri is seeking an Accounting Specialist to join our growing real estate development, property management, and hospitality organization. This role manages outgoing payments and incoming receivables, maintains accurate financial records, and ensures timely invoice processing.

You will support the accounting team, strengthen vendor and customer relationships, and contribute to cash flow management while upholding internal controls and GAAP standards.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
• 2+ years in accounts payable, accounts receivable, or general accounting.
• Experience with accounting software and ERP systems; Yardi experience strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform monthly bank reconciliations and investigate reconciling items.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Process vendor invoices, weekly check runs, ACH payments, and wire transfers.
• Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies.
• Manage company credit card processes including receipts, coding and reconciliations.
• Prepare and file annual 1099 forms in compliance with IRS requirements.
• Assist with month-end and year-end close activities and AP accruals.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and internal controls.
