Job summary

JST Manufacturing is seeking an R&D Engineer to contribute to research and design efforts across Manufacturing, Mechanical, Chemical, and Software Engineering. The role focuses on developing new designs and improving existing ones through analysis, integration, and testing.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams, document procedures, test processes with prototype equipment, and communicate results to stakeholders while supporting at-scale manufacturing processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering required.
• Manufacturing experience preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Demonstrates efficiency with modern programming languages.
• Demonstrates effective analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
• Experience with SEMI Standard GEM/SECs protocol is preferred.
• Thorough understanding of the scientific process and engineering principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software used for testing and reporting.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with research team to investigate, research, and develop solutions for a problem or project.
• Co-operates with cross-functional teams of peers, customers, and vendors.
• Participate in the research process from problem identification through final testing for products or processes.
• Document procedures for tools, equipment, materials, parts, and processes used in manufacturing and engineering design of products.
• Propose, test, revise, and implement processes and/or corrective actions to resolve or meet the problem or need.
• Test processes using prototype equipment and experimental materials and methods.
• Verify results for accuracy, significance, and reliability.
• Draft and present recommendations and results.
• Communicate effectively across all levels of the organization including management, business representatives, peers, customers, and vendors.
