Job summary

FedEx Logistics in Memphis, TN is seeking a detail‑oriented Customs Compliance Specialist to review entries and related documents for accuracy and regulatory compliance. You will identify discrepancies, support clearance activities, and collaborate with internal teams and customers.

The role focuses on tariff classification, CBP regulations, and maintaining compliant records, with a hybrid schedule Monday–Friday 8:00am–5:00pm and a requirement to live within 50 miles of the location.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED required.
• Three years of business or customer service experience.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Review customs entries for accuracy and completeness.
• Provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers.
• Obtain and verify correct classification of goods for customs clearance.
• Review shipments prior to release to ensure documentation is available.
• Audit shipments processed through automated systems for accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
• Solicit, collect, and maintain customs compliance documentation from customers.
• Collaborate with internal teams and customers to deliver high-quality service and provide training as needed.
• Contact customers regarding missing or incomplete documentation to ensure compliant filing.
• Review entries and correct as required per CBP regulations and company policies.
• Investigate and resolve ABI errors and Census warnings for CBP acceptance.
• Verify tariff codes and apply missing classifications as needed.
• Ensure OGA requirements are met per regulations and policies.
• Create coaching referrals to support education and continuous improvement.
• Support entry processing and cage operations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
