Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent; JD or master's preferred.
• Four years of related experience.
• Knowledge of data privacy laws and retention.
• Ability to document decisions and maintain records.
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement.

Responsibilities

• Support the City's data governance and privacy initiatives and the public records program.
• Develop deep understanding of business processes, data systems, and legal/compliance requirements.
• Conduct legal research to determine data release eligibility under laws.
• Classify data as public, private, nonpublic or confidential across City processes and systems.
• Advise City Departments on information management and privacy.
• Plan and oversee data transparency and privacy projects, processes, and procedures.
• Review, assess, and redact large data sets using review platforms.
• Communicate with stakeholders at all levels and provide training to end users.
