Qualifications

• Active or pending New York PMHNP license
• Active DEA registration
• Master’s Degree from an accredited PMHNP program
• 1+ years of PMHNP experience
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychiatric evaluations and follow-up visits in an outpatient setting (1 hour for initial evaluations, 30 minutes for follow-ups)
• Manage a caseload of 25+ adult patients with conditions including depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, ADHD, schizophrenia, and substance use disorders
• Prescribe and monitor medications as clinically appropriate
• Collaborate with Psychiatrists, NPs, social workers, and nursing staff to ensure coordinated, high-quality care
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions to support best clinical practices
• Utilize EMR (EPOCH system) to document patient encounters accurately and efficiently
• Provide telehealth services as part of a hybrid work model
• Work with medical assistants who support administrative tasks such as prior authorizations
• Engage in ongoing clinical learning and contribute to continuous improvement
