Job summary

Synergos Institute is seeking a Resource Mobilization Intern in New York for a part-time, hybrid role. You will support fundraising and strategic growth by researching prospects, preparing donor materials, and helping tell Synergos’ story to funders, while collaborating with colleagues worldwide.

The role emphasizes building fundraising and strategy skills in a mission-driven setting, with opportunities to learn from experienced staff and engage with a global network of funders.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in, or recently graduated from, an undergraduate or graduate program in international affairs, nonprofit management, public policy, communications or a related field.
• Strong research, writing and organizational skills.
• Ability to turn information into clear, concise summaries.
• Self-starter who can work independently and manage several priorities.
• Familiarity with CRM or prospect research tools is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Research foundation and institutional funding prospects in collaboration with the Resource Mobilization team.
• Prepare research memos and briefing materials for donor cultivation meetings, events and trips.
• Help draft donor correspondence, proposals and reports.
• Keep prospect and donor records accurate in CRM/SharePoint.
• Support administrative tasks as needed.
