Placements24 seeks a Property Law Associate for a well-established legal practice in Welkom, Free State. Manage a diverse portfolio of property transactions, advise on acquisition, development and disputes, and guide clients through conveyancing and sectional title matters.

The ideal candidate holds an LLB, is admitted as an Attorney, and has at least four years of post-admission property law experience, with strong negotiation and organizational skills.

Qualifications

• LLB or equivalent required; admission as Attorney.
• Minimum 4 years' post-admission experience in property law and conveyancing.
• Residential and commercial property transactions experience.
• Proficient in conveyancing procedures and relevant software.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Able to manage multiple files and deadlines.
• Proactive, independent worker and team player.

Responsibilities

• Handle all conveyancing tasks: property transfers, bonds, cancellations.
• Draft/review sale agreements, leases, and sectional title documents.
• Perform due diligence on property transactions.
• Advise on development, zoning, and land use regulations.
• Represent clients in property disputes and litigation.
• Maintain regular client communication and progress updates.
• Ensure compliance with property laws and regulations.
• Collaborate with agents, developers, and financial institutions.
• Keep property transaction files accurate and organized.
