Job summary

RPM Living in Austin, TX is seeking a Property Accounting Associate to provide accounting administrative support for a property portfolio. You will perform bank reconciliations, assemble report packages, and help maintain accurate financial records using Yardi and Microsoft Excel.

The role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently in a hybrid office environment four days on-site per week.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• College coursework in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Knowledge of fundamental accounting concepts (debits/credits, journal entries, accounting equation).
• Knowledge of bookkeeping practices (ledgers, reconciling accounts, financial records).
• Knowledge of industry software such as Yardi.
• Strong organization to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform bank account reconciliations regularly to maintain an accurate daily cash balance.
• Assist in compiling monthly financial information and preparing reporting packages.
• Prepare financial packages for multiple clients with varying reporting requirements.
• Review journal entries to maintain income and revenue in accounting software.
• Communicate and collaborate with Property Accountants and team members to provide excellent service.
