Job summary

Mannik Smith Group in Lexington, KY is seeking a Project Surveyor to join the Survey/Geomatics team. The role blends fieldwork with office tasks, assisting in land surveying for transportation, boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys.

You will operate equipment like total stations and GPS, prepare drawings and reports, and collaborate with project managers and clients to deliver accurate results. This full-time role offers a hybrid schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or related field preferred, or equivalent experience.
• 2+ years of experience in land surveying.
• LSIT certification preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assist in land surveying activities for various projects including transportation, boundary, topographic, ALTA, and construction surveys.
• Conduct fieldwork and data collection with surveying equipment such as total stations, GPS, and levels.
• Prepare and review survey drawings, maps, and reports for accuracy and completeness.
• Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and clients to ensure timely survey results.
• Assist with project documentation, including permit applications and calculations.
• Ensure adherence to local, state, and federal surveying standards.
• Provide support to senior surveyors in planning and execution.
• Participate in quality control to ensure data accuracy.
