Job summary

International Republican Institute (IRI) is seeking a Project Specialist to join the Project Delivery Team in a hybrid role based in Washington, DC. You will support and sometimes lead project delivery activities, coordinate with regional teams, ensure grant compliance, and help manage budgets and reporting for funders.

You will collaborate across departments, handle travel and logistics, and contribute to quarterly and final reports.

Qualifications

• Experience with democracy and governance programs preferred.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and timelines.
• Experience with USG-funded projects and related regulations is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports and may oversee project activities under PDT leadership.
• Leads project kickoff and setup processes with regional teams.
• Ensures grant compliance and adherence to policies.
• Manages logistics, travel, venue selection, and communications.
• Monitors budgets and expenditures to stay within allocations.
• Contributes to monitoring, evaluation, and reporting to funders.
• Assists with proposal development and documentation.
• Oversees workloads of junior staff as assigned.
