Job summary

DLR Group is seeking a Project Scheduler in Chicago to lead detailed CPM schedules, align timelines with project goals, and coordinate across project managers, designers, and construction partners to keep programs on track.

You will manage resources, monitor progress, and communicate clearly with stakeholders while supporting revenue projections and quality control reviews. This is a hybrid in-office role with some Fridays remote.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Design, Construction Industry, or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of scheduling experience.
• High proficiency in scheduling tool, preferably Microsoft Project.
• Dynamic and collaborative team player who thrives in a fast-paced environment.
• Highly organized with strong time management and attention to detail.
• Understanding of project management principles, including critical path analysis and resource allocation.
• Exceptional written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Develop and manage detailed project schedules, including tasks, dependencies, durations, resources, and milestones.
• Collaborate with project managers, design teams, and stakeholders to ensure the schedule reflects full project scope.
• Track progress, update schedules, and communicate changes clearly to stakeholders.
• Perform critical path analyses to identify key tasks, delays, and schedule impacts.
• Identify and mitigate scheduling risks to maintain timelines and budget integrity.
• Advise teams on risks, delays, or conflicts and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Integrate internal schedules with design and construction partner schedules across various delivery models.
• Support resource allocation and ensure timely and efficient project delivery.
• Provide schedule inputs for revenue projections and QC reviews.
• Present schedule reports to teams and leadership, including financial/resource projections.
• Support business development with proposed schedules for RFQs/RFPs and interview processes.
