Job summary

Plescia Construction & Development is seeking a Project Estimator for a full-time role based out of Morristown, New Jersey. The position offers flexible work from home or the Morristown office on a daily basis, or in a hybrid capacity.

The Project Estimator will review plans, specs, and scope to prepare accurate cost estimates for commercial construction projects. You will coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing and develop competitive bids while staying aligned with budgets.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years of experience in commercial construction estimating.
• Experience with stipulated sum, GMP, and cost-plus bid scenarios.
• Conceptual budgeting experience.
• Experience in both interiors and ground-up projects.
• Proficiency with estimating software and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Review project plans, specifications, and scope to prepare cost estimates for commercial construction.
• Coordinate with subcontractors and vendors to obtain pricing.
• Prepare detailed proposals and analyze labor and material costs.
• Ensure projects align with budget and develop competitive bids.
• Maintain clear communication throughout preconstruction with internal teams.
