Sargent & Lundy seeks a Project Controls Lead to manage capital project controls within our PMO. The role guides cost engineers, scheduling staff, and financial admins, interfacing with project managers and client management. Expect a hybrid schedule with three days in the office and two remote days.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in capital projects, a BS in Engineering/Construction Management, and strong EV, cost, and scheduling expertise. Travel to client sites may be required.

Qualifikationen

• 10+ years of total Capital Project experience, preferably in energy transmission and distribution.
• Bachelor of Science degree with emphasis in Engineering, Construction Management, or equivalent; ABET accredited program preferred.
• Experience in Earned Value Management and Project Controls methodologies.
• Comfortable in a project leadership role with budget and schedule decision authority.
• Experience in managing multiple complex projects with responsibility for project controls.
• Ability to prioritize work and meet deadlines under pressure.
• Willingness to engage with PMO and client needs to deliver value.
• Commitment to high-quality, accurate deliverables with attention to detail.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with cross-functional collaboration.
• Advanced MS Excel and PowerBI proficiency; MS Office suite familiarity.

Aufgaben

• Lead development, implementation, oversight, and management of capital project controls processes to ensure consistency and quality.
• Collaborate with the PMO team to achieve client business objectives.
• Develop, maintain, and improve project controls best practices and deliverables such as cost management, forecasting, scheduling, and reporting.
• Report and present project financials, schedule status, risks, and staffing plans to stakeholders.
• Communicate variances against monthly work plans and develop recovery plans when needed.
• Define and communicate metrics to PMO and client leadership.
• Mentor and train the Project Controls staff to ensure high performance.
• Travel to client offices or site locations as required.
