You'll partner with project managers and executives to ensure accurate job costing, timely draws, and GAAP-compliant accounting across multiple initiatives. This hybrid role offers exposure to high-profile projects and growth within a growing real estate organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
• 3+ years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate/ construction.
• Experience with job costing and project accounting.
• Advanced Excel skills (Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP) and analysis.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project-level accounting records for active development and construction projects.
• Monitor project budgets, commitments, and expenditures.
• Process construction draws, vendor invoices, and payment applications.
• Prepare monthly project financial statements and variance analyses.
• Reconcile project bank accounts, loan activity, and escrow accounts.
• Assist with forecasting cash flow needs and funding.
• Coordinate with lenders, contractors, developers, and auditors.
• Ensure GAAP compliance and internal controls.
• Identify process improvements and strengthen internal controls related to development accounting.
