Job summary

Mission Health in Asheville, NC seeks a Nurse Educator Progressive Care to advance clinical practice across our progressive care units. This role blends direct patient care coaching with education, evidence-based practice, and program development to elevate nursing performance and patient outcomes.

You will plan orientation, competency validation, and ongoing education; develop simulation scenarios and skills labs; and serve as a clinical resource, precepting staff and guiding professional

Qualifications

BSN required and North Carolina RN license (compact eligible).
BLS and ACLS certification required.
Experience in nursing education, staff development, or precepting preferred.

Responsibilities

Plan, implement, and evaluate orientation, competency validation, and ongoing education for progressive care nurses.
Develop educational materials, simulations, and skills labs aligned with guidelines and standards.
Coach, precept, and mentor nursing staff to promote safe practice and quality outcomes.
Lead sepsis management, cardiac monitoring, and use of progressive care technologies education initiatives.
Participate in governance, policy development, and accreditation readiness related to nursing education.
