Job summary

Lynker Corporation seeks a motivated Program Support Specialist to support the Environmental Modeling Center (EMC) on a long‑term contract. The role is hybrid, generally 2 days in the College Park, MD office and the rest from home.

You will coordinate projects, resources, and documentation across EMC and interact with NOAA NCO to resolve issues and manage resources. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of relevant experience, with strong organizational and communication

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• 5+ years of relevant experience.
• Knowledge of computer systems, operating environments, and basic programming concepts to interact with NCO staff and support troubleshooting.
• Ability to take initiative and work with diverse scientific and technical teams.

Responsibilities

• Assist management with coordination of projects, resources, tools, and communications across EMC.
• Provide support for interactions with the NOAA NCO to resolve issues, communicate resource needs and monitor tickets.
• Monitor and document system outages and maintenance activities; communicate information to management and stakeholders.
• Coordinate and track allocation of equipment and support property management activities.
• Support transitions of IT software and tools by coordinating with NCO.
• Review and proofread publications; manage internal review processes.
• Provide logistical support for seminars, meetings, and related events.
• Support documentation of developed algorithms, tools, and codes in office notes, peer‑reviewed publications, and user guides.
• Other duties as assigned.
