Job summary

National Academies of Sciences, Engineering, and Medicine is seeking an Associate Program Officer to lead projects in the PSSI program at CAST. You will help develop strategies, budgets, schedules, and staffing plans; identify experts; organize workshops; and prepare written products for publication with oversight from senior staff.

You will collaborate with federal, state, and academic partners to advance policy-relevant science.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a mathematical, physical, or policy-related field.
• Three years of related professional experience required.
• Advanced degree preferred.
• Eligibility or willingness to pursue a security clearance preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead assigned projects; help develop strategies, budgets, and schedules.
• Identify and recruit expert committees and manage meetings.
• Develop written materials and coordinate publications; support reviews.
• Contribute to communications and dissemination of project results.
• Assist with staff supervision and cross-unit collaboration.
