Penn State Extension Better Kid Care is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead strategic direction, oversight, and program development for a national professional development program serving early childhood and out-of-school-time professionals.

The role oversees budget management, staff supervision, grant development, and collaboration with state registries, while advancing online courses and CDA initiatives for educators nationwide.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Early Childhood Education or closely related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience, including 3+ years of supervisory experience.
• Experience with grant writing and grant-funded projects.
• Experience with curriculum development, evaluation, and online learning environments.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist leadership in strategic planning, supervision, budget oversight, and program evaluation.
• Lead grant writing activities and development of new projects.
• Coordinate trainer approvals with state registries nationwide.
• Oversee course submissions and ensure compliance with state requirements.
• Build partnerships with state registries and PD systems.
• Develop and promote online courses and resources for early childhood educators.
