Job summary

The Program Engineer at Cooper Standard serves as the liaison between the customer and Cooper Standard to create and maintain vehicle component designs that meet functional, timing and cost targets. You will manage design reviews, 3D data, drawings, prototypes, DV/PV testing, and participate in program team meetings and supplier reviews.

You will also lead design status updates, release engineering changes, support the auto-quote process, and mentor junior engineers while ensuring all SOW

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering preferred.
• Typically 2+ years of related experience.
• Ability to explain complex information concisely.
• Knowledge of APQP and customer vehicle builds.
• Good written and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Release engineering change requests.
• Administer program development reviews and design reviews.
• Develop and support the auto-quote process.
• Ensure designs meet SOW requirements.
• Lead customer and internal technical interfaces.
• Mentor associate program engineers.
