Job summary

State of Alaska, Department of Health, is seeking a Program Coordinator 2 to lead administration, budgeting and grants for suicide prevention initiatives in Anchorage or Juneau. The role supports statewide messaging, events, and data reporting.

You will work with the Statewide Suicide Prevention Council and other program managers to provide technical assistance to communities and grantees, in a fast-paced office with hybrid telework options.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Overseeing administration, budgeting, grant‑writing, and reporting for state and federal grants.
• Planning large‑scale in‑person and virtual events, such as summits, conferences, webinars, workshops, and trainings.
• Implementing suicide postvention response protocols.
• Providing crisis contact center technical assistance.
• Conducting data reviews, analysis, and reporting.
• Engaging in public outreach and education on suicide prevention resources.
• Leading the development and dissemination of statewide messaging campaigns.
• Participating in statewide mortality reviews with internal and external stakeholders.
