The Retirement Systems Division of the North Carolina Department of State Treasurer is hiring a Program Coordinator III (S) to assist active and retired state and local government employees, beneficiaries, employers and agencies with retirement inquiries, counseling and education on benefit programs.

You will handle phone calls and emails, explain statute details and legislative interpretations, and provide technical assistance to agencies and HR staff.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree required; two years of related experience or an equivalent combination.
• Knowledge of retirement systems, insurance benefits and financial planning principles.
• Strong customer service skills and ability to explain complex statutes clearly.
