Qualifications

• 5+ years of litigation focused on professional liability (legal or medical malpractice)
• Strong motion practice and trial preparation experience
• Excellent client counseling and risk communication skills
• Hands-on experience managing expert witnesses and consultants

Responsibilities

• Own a docket of legal malpractice, medical malpractice, and related commercial litigation matters from intake through trial or resolution
• Drive case strategy: draft and argue motions, manage discovery, and prepare briefs under deadlines
• Lead all litigation phases: investigations, hearings, settlements, mediations, and trial
• Select, prepare, and depose experts; evaluate opposing expert reports
• Serve as primary contact for clients and insurers, delivering clear risk assessments and settlement recommendations
• Supervise and mentor associates, paralegals, and support staff; review work product for quality
• Support business development through client relationships and proposals in the professional liability practice
