Job summary

Orion Placement in Los Angeles is seeking an experienced attorney to join a respected boutique litigation and trial team focused on professional liability and sophisticated business litigation. The role offers hybrid work with Downtown LA or Brentwood office access.

You will manage a complex caseload from inception through resolution, including discovery, depositions, motions, client communication, and trial preparation, with opportunities to participate in trials as second chair.

Qualifications

• J.D. from ABA-accredited law school and admission to practice in California.
• 4+ years of California litigation experience, including business litigation.
• Professional liability, legal malpractice, or related defense experience preferred.
• Strong writing, research, analytical, and advocacy skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage a sophisticated litigation caseload from inception through resolution
• Handle professional liability and business litigation matters
• Communicate with clients and provide strategic guidance
• Draft pleadings, motions, and discovery responses
• Take and defend depositions; prepare matters for trial
• Make court appearances in CA state and federal courts
• Collaborate with partners and team on high-value matters
