Placements24 is seeking a Production Operations Engineer in a hybrid role based in Welkom. You will optimize daily production from oil and gas wells, analyze data, and implement corrective actions to improve efficiency and safety.

Collaboration with field teams and other engineers will be essential to meet production targets. The ideal candidate has a Petroleum Engineering degree, 4+ years of production operations experience, and strong data reporting skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Petroleum Engineering or related field.
• Minimum of 4 years of experience in production operations or field engineering in Oil & Gas.
• Proficiency in production data analysis and reporting tools.
• Understanding of wellbore mechanics, fluid flow, and surface facilities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound technical decisions.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills for a hybrid work environment.

Responsibilities

• Monitor well performance and production rates, identifying trends and anomalies.
• Troubleshoot operational problems, implement corrective actions, and document resolutions.
• Optimize artificial lift systems (e.g., ESPs, rod pumps) to maximize production efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and environmental standards in production operations.
• Collaborate with field personnel and other engineering disciplines to support production goals.
• Analyze production data to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost reductions.
