Job summary

Owl Cyber Defense Solutions, LLC is seeking a Production Buyer Planner to lead day-to-day procurement and inventory control for Danbury operations. The role focuses on BOM management, material availability, and timely execution of work orders across multiple sites.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in a manufacturing environment with buyer/planner responsibilities, strong Excel and ERP/MRP skills, and the ability to coordinate with production, supply chain, and logistics.

Qualifications

• Associates degree preferred; experience may be considered in absence of degree.
• APICS CPIM/CSCP certifications are a plus.
• 2+ years of experience in a product/manufacturing environment with buyer/planner/production control responsibilities.
• Candidate must be able to obtain/maintain a US Government security clearance.
• Candidate must be able to work from Owl’s Danbury office 3 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Create, maintain, and track BOMs; manage lead times and material availability to meet schedule requirements.
• Issue work orders to Production to meet scheduled delivery; track progress and resolve shortages.
• Source, plan, and manage material requirements, planning and purchasing process.
• Maintain inventory levels for components and sellable inventory across multiple locations.
• Monitor inventory accuracy and oversee cycle counting.
• Issue RFQs and release purchase orders to suppliers.
• Coordinate sales orders and logistics to ensure on-time delivery.
• Work cross-functionally to resolve issues and discrepancies.
• Oversee receiving process to ensure goods are received timely and accurately.
• Manage vendor nonconformances to obtain root cause and corrective actions.
• Seek opportunities to reduce cost of goods procured.
• Generate weekly and monthly status reports for management review.
