Job summary

Specified Technologies Inc. is seeking a Planner/Buyer to forecast demand, plan raw materials, and manage production schedules across internal and external suppliers.

The hybrid role sits at our Somerville, NJ HQ with three days in the office weekly, collaborating with cross‑functional teams to balance capacity, inventory, and customer needs. The ideal candidate has 3–5 years in planning or purchasing, strong ERP/Excel skills, and familiarity with lean manufacturing.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of planning, purchasing, or supply chain experience in manufacturing.
• Proficient with ERP systems, Excel, and reporting tools.
• Experience using Acumatica ERP is preferred.
• Strong understanding of production planning, purchasing, inventory control, and supply chain operations.
• APICS/CPIM certification preferred.
• Knowledge of lean manufacturing and continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

• Generate purchase orders and track status using Acumatica.
• Daily review of back orders and provide delivery updates to stakeholders.
• Monitor and enter Transfers and Production Orders in Acumatica.
• Coordinate component supply to support the production schedule.
• Create/maintain/adjust production schedules with internal and external manufacturers.
• Act as liaison between plants, Engineering and QC to address production or quality issues.
• Monitor and correct inventory errors as needed.
• Perform other duties to support planning operations.
