Job summary

IBM Studios Austin is seeking a UI/UX Designer and Engineer to own end-to-end experiences across our platform. You will translate complex technical workflows into intuitive, production-ready user interfaces while collaborating with product and engineering teams.

The role blends design and engineering in a hybrid environment, requiring a strong portfolio and the ability to work onsite in Austin three days per week.

Qualifications

• Portfolio demonstrating user-centered design and complex experiences.
• Proficiency with design and prototyping tools (e.g., Figma).
• Experience using modern LLM workflows to prototype designs.

Responsibilities

• Move from user research to prototyping and front-end implementation with product and engineering teams.
• Design information architecture, interactions, and navigation using IBM design systems.
• Collaborate with product, engineering, sales and marketing to align UX with business goals.
• Participate in agile and design thinking methodologies.
