Nordstrom is seeking a Product Developer in Seattle to drive private-label apparel development. You will partner with merchandising, design, and vendors, managing tech packs, prototypes, and milestones while ensuring cost and quality standards.

The role requires 3+ years in garment product development, a strong negotiation track record, and proficiency with Excel/PLM. Hybrid work with four in-office days and one remote day per week is offered.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in product development, design or production in garment manufacturing.
• Bachelors Degree preferred.
• Knowledge of raw materials and garment construction.
• Experience working with domestic and international manufacturers.
• Strong problem solving and negotiating skills.
• Clear written and verbal communication with interpersonal and multitasking abilities.
• Capability to demonstrate costing exercises with vendors.

Responsabilités

• Develop products engineered to cost standards.
• Review prototypes for quality, brand aesthetic, and design intent.
• Track milestones with pre-production reporting and testing.
• Negotiate costs, timelines, and minimums with vendors.
• Create and manage tech packs and PLM updates.
• Place styles according to sourcing strategy and provide evolution recommendations.
• Review garment and fabric test reports for reconciliation.
