Job summary

American Honda Motor Company, Inc. is seeking a Procurement Sr. Specialist to lead sourcing strategies, manage supplier relationships, and drive cost reduction. You will collaborate with site leaders to implement category plans, analyze data, and influence stakeholders.

Hybrid role with on-site presence in Torrance, travel up to 25%, and exposure to SEQCDM targets. Requires 2–5 years in procurement, a Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with MS Office and SAP/Ariba.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Finance or related field.
• 2–5 years in purchasing/procurement or related field.
• Strong MS Office; familiarity with SAP/Ariba or major ERP systems.
• Understanding of multi-step strategic sourcing and category management.

Responsibilities

• Execute sourcing events (RFIs, RFPs) and supplier selection.
• Conduct basic market research on opportunities and trends.
• Support cost analysis and Total Cost of Ownership reporting to stakeholders.
• Manage supplier onboarding, risk, and contract compliance.
• Meet category SEQCDM targets and monitor progress; implement countermeasures.
• Lead process improvement and stakeholder management across the organization.
