Job summary

CEI in Portland, OR, seeks a Procurement Specialist / Buyer for a hybrid role (3 days on-site). You will lead RFx activities, support contract negotiations, and coordinate supplier interactions to deliver compliant procurement outcomes.

The ideal candidate has 2–3+ years in procurement/sourcing and experience with ERP tools such as PeopleSoft, plus strong MS Office skills. This W2 role offers standard benefits and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Experience leading RFIs, RFPs, RFQs and mid-complexity sourcing events.
• Proven contract negotiation and administration experience.
• 2–3+ years in procurement/sourcing/contract management or category support.
• Ability to translate business requirements into RFx materials and document decisions.
• Proficient with procurement tools and collaboration platforms.

Responsibilities

• Execute RFIs, RFPs, and RFQs aligned to category plans and stakeholder requirements.
• Develop bid packages, manage evaluations, and document sourcing decisions.
• Negotiate pricing and service terms for mid-complexity categories.
• Draft and process contracts, renewals, amendments, and terminations.
• Maintain contract documentation and support audit readiness.
• Coordinate supplier communications, onboarding, and issue resolution.
• Ensure compliance with procurement policies and requirements.
