Job summary

ILLES Foods is seeking a Procurement Manager to lead sourcing strategies, optimize costs, and ensure supply continuity for raw materials across our foodManufacturing operations. The role collaborates with R&D, Quality, Finance, Operations, and FSQR to drive data-driven sourcing decisions.

The ideal candidate has deep procurement and supply chain expertise in the food industry, with category management, supplier relations, and data analytics experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, Finance, or related field; MBA preferred.
• Procurement Certification (CPIM or CPM) is a plus.
• 7-10 years in procurement, strategic sourcing or category management.
• Experience in food industry with ingredient sourcing and food manufacturing.
• Proficient with ERP/MRP systems and inventory management.

Responsibilities

• Lead procurement initiatives across business units, including alternative sourcing and supplier risk mitigation.
• Coordinate supplier participation in product development and manage samples, COAs, and regulatory data.
• Develop simplification and rationalization strategies, consolidating spend across vendors and materials.
• Assist with RFPs, evaluate contracts, and award qualified suppliers.
• Lead weekly PM meetings to address raw material needs, cost and supply risks.
• Manage 3PL relationships, oversee inbound/outbound freight, and optimize modes and lanes.
• Support PO processing and supplier issue resolution; travel up to 5-10%.
