The South Side Home Movie Project (SSHMP) seeks a part‑time Processing Archivist for a two‑year term to support the Getty Foundation project, focused on the Ramon Williams Collection and Black Chicago Renaissance context. Hybrid on‑site work at Logan Center for the Arts with up to 25% remote work.

Under supervision, the role processes, digitizes, and describes audiovisual materials, ensuring preservation and public accessibility in line with archival standards and SSHMP practices.

• Inspects, cleans, repairs, digitizes, and creates access files for films with guidance from project team.
• Creates and manages metadata records using SSHMP standards and researched context.
• Ingests digitized files into SSHMP's digital archive and enhances discoverability.
• Performs quality control on digitized files and metadata for accuracy and completeness.
• Collaborates with SSHMP staff to support community-informed archival practices and programming.
• Contributes to creating finding aids, digital exhibits, or interpretive essays.
