Job summary

Air Products is seeking a Process Controls Engineer for the Baton Rouge/Geismar area in Louisiana. The role focuses on DCS, SIS, and PLC automation, supporting world-class facilities and capital projects with a strong emphasis on safety and reliability.

The engineer will collaborate with regional and site staff to drive improvements in plant operation, instrumentation, and control systems, while traveling ~5% for site support and project execution.

Qualifications

• Requires engineering degree (Chemical, Mechanical or Electrical) with 10+ years in process automation/instrumentation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel ~5% outside region.
• US work authorization without sponsorship.

Responsibilities

• Provide process control systems engineering support for Baton Rouge / Geismar facilities.
• Work on SMR hydrogen production sites, offgas facilities, and hydrogen pipelines.
• Collaborate with regional engineers, plant staff, and management to improve safety, reliability, and process performance.
