Job summary
Air Products is seeking a Process Controls Engineer for the Baton Rouge/Geismar area, joining the HyCO Process Controls Engineering group. The role centers on DCS, SIS, and PLC automation, providing technical leadership for instrumentation and safety systems across production facilities.
You will collaborate with regional process controls engineers, plant process engineers, area managers, and site staff to support capital projects, reliability improvements, and adherence to engineering
Qualifications
- Hands-on control systems experience (DCS/PLC) with emphasis on safety controls.
- Experience with DCS/ SIS and instrumentation systems.
- Experience lifecycle planning of control systems and upgrades.
- Familiarity with cybersecurity relevant to industrial controls.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Responsibilities
- Provide process control systems engineering support for Baton Rouge/Geismar facilities.
- Support DCS, SIS, and PLC automation systems and capital projects.
- Lead lifecycle planning, maintenance, and upgrade migrations for control systems.
- Collaborate with I&E technicians, site staff, and operations managers to improve reliability and safety.
