Job summary

Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Everett (Education Secretariat) seeks a Problem Resolution Team Supervisor to lead PRS staff, oversee complaint management, and ensure compliance with state regulations.

You will guide specialists, coordinate investigations, and travel across the Commonwealth as required; a Master’s degree and supervisory experience are preferred; join a diverse, equity-focused team implementing dispute resolution in education.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree and at least five years of full-time educational experience. Based on assignment, supervisory experience required.
• Experience leading a team and providing guidance to staff in a high-volume environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills and ability to synthesize complex materials.
• Experience with dispute resolution processes involving public education entities is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Specialist staff in review, analysis, and response to allegations of non-compliance and inquiries.
• Manage cases in PRS complaint system with timely, accurate submissions and feedback.
• Advise staff on investigations and ensure compliance with laws and department policy.
• Support the Director with additional tasks and contribute to staff development.
