Job summary

Our Boston office at Mott MacDonald is seeking a Principal Project Manager with deep experience in developing and implementing water, wastewater, and stormwater projects. You will lead programs from planning through construction, manage large teams, and nurture long-term client relationships.

The role requires a B.S. in civil/environmental/mechanical engineering, a Massachusetts PE license (or able to obtain via comity within six months), and 15+ years of senior project delivery.

Qualifications

• B.S. degree in civil, environmental, or mechanical engineering is required.
• Professional Engineer (PE) license in Massachusetts, or ability to obtain via comity within six months, is required.
• 15+ years of progressively responsible experience in water/wastewater/stormwater and capital improvement programs.
• Proven ability to develop and maintain strong client relationships and lead multidisciplinary teams.
• Experience with project delivery, contract administration, and risk management; PMP/DBIA/BCEE preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manage and execute water/wastewater/stormwater and CIP programs from planning through design and construction.
• Lead large, complex projects and mentor project managers, engineers, and staff.
• Maintain client relationships and lead business development activities.
• Oversee scope, schedule, budget, staffing, and profitability metrics.
• Lead risk management, contract administration, and project controls.
