Job summary

Westinghouse Electric Company is seeking a Principal Hardware Engineer to lead the hardware scope for instrumentation and control plant computer and annunciator system upgrade projects. The role is hybrid and located at Cranberry Township, PA, with no relocation assistance offered.

You will mentor engineers and work with multiple internal and external customers to define system requirements. Qualified candidates will have a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 8+ years of experience, and strong

Bachelor's degree in engineering required.
Minimum 8 years of experience.
Nuclear industry experience preferred.
Experience leading a team of engineers.
Knowledge of I&C hardware design and equipment qualification processes.
Excellent communication and organizational skills.
Strong technical writing ability.

Responsibilities

Lead the hardware scope for instrumentation and control plant computer and annunciator system upgrade projects.
Lead a team of engineers through design, procurement, manufacturing, testing, shipment and plant start-up.
Define system requirements with customers and ensure conformity to codes and standards.
Interface with suppliers to manage obsolescence and ensure product viability.
Collaborate with business units to develop offers for new projects.
Travel to customer sites as needed and mentor junior engineers.
Drive product and process improvements across projects.
