Job summary

Breakthru Beverage Group is seeking a Principal Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data pipelines and cloud-based data products that empower BI, analytics, and AI across the enterprise.

The role combines hands-on data engineering with technical leadership, guiding best practices, CI/CD, and governance while mentoring engineers and collaborating with BI, Analytics, and AI/ML teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in Data Engineering or related roles.
• Strong expertise in SQL and scalable data transformations.
• Proficiency in Python for data engineering and automation.
• Experience with AWS and Snowflake data platforms.
• Experience with dbt or similar ELT frameworks.
• Experience building production-grade data pipelines (batch and near real-time).
• Knowledge of dimensional modeling and scalable architectures.
• Experience enabling analytics, AI/ML, and AI-driven apps.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git workflows, automated testing, and IaC.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain scalable data pipelines on AWS and Snowflake.
• Develop ELT/ETL processes using dbt, SQL, and Python.
• Design AI-ready data models and data products for enterprise use.
• Leverage AWS services and Snowflake to build secure data solutions.
• Ensure orchestration, CI/CD governance, and data quality observability.
• Collaborate with BI, Analytics, AI/ML teams and business stakeholders.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to architecture standards.
