Job summary

Georgia Power is seeking a Pricing & Rates Analyst to drive impactful pricing analysis and support regulatory filings from its Atlanta headquarters. The role involves modeling customer rates, visualizing rate performance, and collaborating on new pricing products to deliver value to customers and support financial objectives.

Ideal candidates have a technical/analytical degree, strong Excel skills, and experience with data visualization and large datasets.

Qualifications

• 4-year degree in technical/analytical field preferred.
• Advanced degree and/or certifications a plus but not required.
• Expertise with Excel and proficiency in at least one programming language.
• Experience working with large datasets and generating data visualizations.
• Utility industry experience preferred but not required.
• Strong attention to detail, organizational, analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Ability to use data analysis and visualization to ascertain key takeaways, emerging risks and opportunities.
• Ability to communicate data and findings clearly and succinctly to diverse audiences.
• Capacity to understand, interpret, and apply cost-based pricing principles and rate design concepts.
• Effectiveness collaborating across domains to solve multi-dimensional problems.

Responsibilities

• Review and monitor existing rates to ensure that the present applicability, structure and format of rates are effective.
• Produce comparisons to forecast, historical periods, and utility peers.
• Perform analysis of customer behavior, usage trends, and bill impacts.
• Respond to internal and external data requests.
• Support rate design in associated regulatory filings including developing Minimum Filing Requirements (MFR’s).
• Assist the Company’s efforts toward the development and implementation of new pricing products to ensure successful outcomes and positive customer experiences.
• Create innovative analyses, processes, and reporting that improves efficiency.
