Job summary

Qualifications

• School Education: High School Diploma or GED.
• Degrees: Associate's Degree or 2 years of college preferred
• Licenses and Certification: Pharmacy Technician; Texas State Board of Pharmacy
• Work Experience: 3 years with Prescription/Pharmacy authorization;Epic a plus; strong customer service
• Language Skills: Spanish preferred
• Communication: Verbal, writing, reports
• Proficiencies: MS Excel, MS Word, PC

Responsibilities

• Process prescription authorization to support medication prescribing for insured patients.
• Provide customer service while collaborating with providers, pharmacy, nursing and internal teams for questions or issues related to prescription authorization.
• Submit, process and resolve authorizations following payor rules and guidelines.
• Update benefits in Epic to ensure correct billing and reimbursement for services.
