Qualifications

• Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
• Licensed and in good standing to practice law in Massachusetts.
• 0-3 years of experience in prelitigation, personal injury, or related practice area.

Responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of personal injury prelitigation matters from intake through settlement or transition to litigation.
• Consult with clients to understand facts, needs, and merits and provide regular case updates.
• Evaluate claims and develop case strategy using statutes, case law, medical docs, and other information.
• Draft letters of representation, insurance notices, settlement demands, and other correspondence.
• Negotiate with insurance adjusters and carriers for favorable resolutions.
• Monitor case progress, settlement disbursements, and deadlines.
• Collaborate with supervising attorneys on significant developments and escalation needs.
• Maintain accurate, complete, confidential case records in the firm’s CMS.
• Stay current on Massachusetts personal injury law relevant to prelitigation.
• Deliver excellent client service through clear, responsive communication.
