Job summary

FlexStaff Careers is seeking a Project Manager for a client leading in mission-critical power quality solutions. You will own complex power system projects from order entry through commissioning and closeout, coordinating with engineering, service, sales, and customers.

The role is hybrid in Orange County, NY with travel, focusing on budget, schedule, and scope integrity; you will manage FAT/SAT, documentation, invoicing, and cross-functional teams to ensure profitable delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Electrical preferred).
• 3–10 years in design, application or service of industrial products, ideally electrical power or controls.
• 3–5 years managing system-level technical projects with customer/vendor interaction.

Responsibilities

• Full project Ownership: Manage all technical and commercial aspects from order entry through final acceptance.
• Customer Interface: Serve as the main point of contact for clients and contractors; lead site meetings.
• Cross-Departmental Leadership: Align Sales, Service, Engineering, Purchasing, and Accounting for on-time, on-budget delivery.
• Schedule & Budget Management: Develop project schedules, track milestones, manage invoicing, ensure profitability.
• Documentation & Reporting: Oversee technical docs, test procedures, submittals, and MOPs.
• Testing & Commissioning: Coordinate FAT, startup, SAT; host customer-witnessed testing (domestic & international).
• Logistics Oversight: Manage shipping docs and inbound shipments; oversee vendor quality compliance.
• Team Oversight: Direct field activities, review timesheets/expenses, provide direction to ensure scope adherence.
• Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements to internal project management processes.
• Project Reporting: Generate and present reports to senior management.
• Support Service Projects: Step in to manage or support service-led initiatives as needed.
• Invoice & Payment Management: Supervise project-related billing and resolve contract issues.
